Mapping Home
Fall 2020

Another self-reflective piece, this project was an exploration into the concept of “home” and the numerous spaces I have inhabited. At the time, I was researching choreography mapping and very interested in how physical, four-dimensional movements could be translated two-dimensionally. I started by creating floor plans of the seven different places I have called “home” and then walked the paths of these floor plans in the living room of my current Ann Arbor apartment. I combined this footage of my “retracing my steps” with old photographs that corresponded to each of these temporary homes.
